KPEC at the Local Food Fest

Friday, September 17th, 2010

The Local Food Fest will be happening tomorrow morning at the Kirksville Famer’s Market.  It’s put on by the Adair County University of Missouri Extensions, the same people that do the soil samples, teach the Master Gardener Course, and do free workshops and talks on gardening, farming, etc.

They’re providing us with a table at the Local Food Fest, and we’ll have resources on preserving local foods via canning, dehydrating, freezing, fermenting, or root cellaring.  We’ll be answering questions and we’ll have some books for people to get ideas on how to preserve the bounty of local food!
